I suffered a min-stroke from chantix. I guess I am lucky it wasn't major stroke. I still smoke but am going to a hypnotist to try again tommorow. Has any one tried hypnotism? Has it worked?
I took Chantix and quit for 6 months, but in that time I became depressed, anxious, and slightly suicidal. I had to see a psychiatrist and take antidepressants for nearly a year after stopping the Chantix.
Today, I'm off all medication and feeling back to normal. It is day 10 of Cold Turkey and I can't imagine why I didn't do this sooner.
Editor's Notes: I'm so glad that you are feeling better and well done for quitting cold-turkey on your own.
I'm not a medical professional but after reading through the package insert for Chantix, the benefits don't seem worth the risks. It also appears that studies show that the relapse rate is very high - in some cases 95%.
